Easter Bunnies
About a week ago, Granny was tinkering about the garden shed in her backyard. She was just getting ready to head back toward the house when she heard a tiny squeak. Feeling something soft under her shoe, she looked down to find a small mound of gray fluff. Upon further inspection, she realized it was a nest of bunnies. Seven newborn baby bunnies were huddled in a mass, surrounded by piles of the momma bunny's fur. Their tiny eyes are still closed but they do respond to the sound your voice. We've taken great care not to disturb them, in hopes that the mother will return to the nest. In the meantime, we are keeping an eye out to make sure they are safe.

Oh my gosh! They are so adorable! I want to pick them up and hug them... even though that's not such a good idea.

Bunnies shouldn't be handled by humans unless it's absolutely nesessary. When I had to touch them I would rub my hands in the grass first to coverup the human smell....Baby birds can be handled because birds can't smell things....They really are so very cute, the mom should come back : )
